ending of book

I think that Amar will go find Hassans son, then kill some bad guys, then come back to America with Hassans son. He is already in Afghanistan to look for Hassans son, and has learned that the orphanage he was in was destroyed. Amar continues to search for Hassans son, and learns a lot about what has changed.

independent reading 2nd post

Since it is fictional, not very much of it is going to move me in any way, but I found some significant facts (fictional ones, that is) about one of the main characters who's name is mariam. She is a bastard child of a wealthy businessman who got mariams mother (nana) pregnent when he was in the area for some reason. He has many other children, who mariam hears are all taken care of in his palace type house or whatnot. mariam wants to go be with him so she doesnt have to live in poverty as a bastard child (which is shamed upon, both of them). she never mentions it though, because of her mothers hate for the man.

Amir

is a coward, which is probably why Baba doesnt like him as much as Hassan.
Thats pretty much what I got from the book, that Amir is not as good a person as Hassan. Amir is jealous of Hassan about the respect he gets from Baba,so much so that he frames Hassan and has him sent away. This event will influence the rest of his life, in that he feels guilty and wants to find a way to make up for it.

story

I really cant think of a story for this, it just reminds me the the scene with the special forces in the gully in the movie 'clear and present danger', as theyre chased by a hundred or so members of some south american military.
I have no idea what this guy is doing, probably some courier service, maybe practicing for if radios arent working, i have no idea.

and now the picture button isnt working...

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing.

I believe this is one of the most true quotes there is. It has been proven too many times in history, and yet again, I can use this picture of chamberlain because it is exactly what this quote applies to.
